Angioplasty is the technique of mechanically widening a narrowed or obstructed blood vessel; typically as a result of atherosclerosis. Well, here's a brief definition of Angioplasty, an Angioplasty is a procedure where a balloon is passed into your artery on the end of a tube and is inflated to treat a narrowed or blocked artery.
I just got to know it today by browsing thru' the Internet searching for the exact definitions of it. Well, you may think, why out of a sudden I am so into these medical terms. It is important to know what does the terms means as my father was admitted to Ipoh Specialist Hospital for the Angioplasty operation himself. So i do have a need to know what does it means and how was the procedure and etc.
Well, my father's operation was started @ around 3.55pm and ended @ around 4.25pm today. Operation was very successful, thanks to the very skillful and professional Dr. Ng. My father is now resting in the High Dependancy Ward. Can only be discharge tomorrow.
