Men's Health Night Run '09

Arrived Putrajaya @ 7pm for the run and a lot of people were already there when I arrived. They were a lot of runners participated for the event and there's around 5,000 runners registered this year.

There were warmed up session leaded by the pro from Clark Hatch Fitness Centre before the event starts. Event were started @ 8.00pm sharp with Men's & Ladies Open category and then followed by Men's & Ladies Veteran category, Senior Citizen category and lastly the Fun run category.

It was my first time participating in a night run event, it was fun and exciting. Was able to finish the run @ around 20 minutes. I guess can considered myself not bad for a 5km run. Haha! Collected my goody bag straight away after I finished the run. And then I headed over to the booth set up around the event area to collect free goodies and free stuff such as 7up revive, bleu mineral water, granola bar, 1901 soakin' ted's hotdog and many more.

See you next year for the Night Run 2010!

The Fallen Has Fallen

Just got back from watching the movie "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen". Ya.. ya.. Finally I have watched the long awaited movie after so long since the movie was released on June 24th 2009. I was lucky that my mates wanted to catch this movie again after the 6th time of watching it. LOL

Well, the 2nd sequel picks up where the first film left off with Optimus Prime sending signals pledging to the other Autobots that are seeking refuges on earth to come out and join forces together.

The Transformers movie starts with a bang of action whereby Optimus Prime and the rest of the Autobots search and destroy the rest of the Decepticons on Earth. But, little do they know, a war is brewing beneath them as an ancient Decepticon "The Fallen" is making his return to Earth. In this sequel, Megatron also rises from death. He supposedly returns with the help of the piece of Allspark left with Sam.

While on the other hand, Sam is off to an East Coast College leaving his loved ones behind. Leaving his parents, Bumble Bee and current girlfriend Mikelia behind while still retaining her as a girlfriend. He also wanted to lead a regular life and not wanting anything to do with the Autobots.

This movie revolves around different countries of the world such as Shanghai & Paris but the main focus is on Egypt. Sam sees a lot of flashes of the old Egyptian scripture when he touches the small pieces of Allspark left in his shirt And the Decepticons want Sam because he was the key to locate the source of Energon which was left on earth by the Primes wanted by The Fallen in order to destroy the World.

Well, there's one part I was so impressed was when Jetfire sacrifices himself to reinforce with Optimus Prime’s armor to fight against the evil mastermind Decepticon “The Fallen” in the last fight sequence. Guess what? The Fallen has fallen and once again the human race was saved by the Autobots.

The action in this sequel is pretty much non-stop throughout the whole movie and the only time they slow down is to get all the characters to the next place to blow some more stuff up. All of the fight sequences are laid out back to back with extreme dedication to making each scene seem new and fresh instead of having the same old robots hitting each other again and again. The special effects was very impressive as well and the two biggest reasons to watch this movie are because of the robots: their action & transformation And another reason was seeing MEGAN FOX in action. ~WOOhooo

Preview Party @ Rum Jungle Club, Sunway Ipoh

Just came back from the preview party of RJ Club @ Sunway Ipoh. It has been months and months since the closure of RJ Club due to a renovation there. After a long wait, finally got an invitation to the preview party earlier today. Feeling so excited about it, went there @ around 9.45pm as the event starts @ 10pm. The event starts with fireworks display and then a big bang of two big and long red firecrackers.

All invitees are entitled to two bottles of beer and two glasses of Absolut Vodka. Well, the alcohol are all sponsored by the Club. The theme of the event was to dress with white and trendy clothings.

Well, the songs spin by the Dj earlier after the event kick start was a bit boring and old school but later the Dj got everyone down to the dance floor with the latest hit songs featuring Poker face , Calle Ocho and some of MJ's hitz. There's also a special dance performance by B-Boys crew from D'Artiz studio.

RJ Club seems to be better now with the lightings, not too dim like the previous one and they have now changed the appearance of the entrance with a big whitish style door. Overall, the club is almost similar to the previous one but I find it quite up class now with a better feel and more trendy compared to the old RJ.

RJ Club is introducing their new clubber card member now; Super Clubber & Clubber card member @ RM 800 & RM 500 respectively. For more information on the club card entitlement, please call 012-599 0638.

The re-opening of the RJ club will be on 17.07.09 [Friday]. There are tons of party events going on this July month @ RJ Club:

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs

Just came back from watching Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs with my mates. The 3rd installment this time was hilarious and they are back with the dinosaurs' company. Not just that, the mammals herd enter into the Dino-land for an adventure that is far better than what we saw in the first two installments, courtesy to a new character called Buck, who perks up the whole story.

The scenes are even more lovable this time around, one liners have that punchy humour to them and characters are much more identifiable. Even for those who may have missed the earlier installments of "Ice Age", it's a no pain situation. This is because the writers draw up their character sketches well and present them all over again without making audiences restless.

The sequel starts with Scrat, who is still on the hunt for his beloved acorn, not until he met a female sabre-toothed squirrel named Scratte. And loves and romance begins for both of them. On the other hand, we have the members of the 'mammals' gang, the mammoth couple Manny & Ellie, getting ready for the delivery of their first baby, named "Peaches" by their mammoth parents. By the way, the baby mammoth was really cute.

They have their friendly tiger Diesel for company who gets into a little depression that he is 'losing his edge' and may lose his friends once they move on to parenthood.
It's a different matter though that he gets into form once he heads out with his friends to search for Sid, who has been transported to Dino-land, courtesy to his sudden love for parenthood that has made him steal and then look after the three baby dinosaurs that were belong to a mommy Dino T-Rex.

The fun only continues with the arrival of Buck who is their guide, guru and philosopher, all rolled into one during their journey to save Sid. Buck has a sole 'Dino tooth' as a weapon that he earned as a Saviour, courtesy to his near death experience in a fierce battle with a very big dinosaur named Rudy.

Well, the movie was fun filled with action, romance and also comedy. Laughing non-stop throughout the movie and one of the best part was Manny, Diesel, Crash & Eddie breathe into the laughing gas and makes them all laughing and joking uncontrollably.

A really must see animation and Don't miss it!

MJ's Ghost Reveal

It is clearly stated in the video saying that it is not MJ's ghostly apparition walking across the screen in the background and in this video the guy assured us that it is just a shadow. The video below explains everything. Watch it!

MJ Ghost in Neverland - Believe it or not!

This MJ ‘ghost’ video is now being widely circulated online. Whether you believe in ghosts or not. The MJ apparition appeared during a broadcast on CNN was first reported by the British tabloid, The Sun.

The video shows a shadowy figure passing in a corridor of Neverland before disappearing during the CNN programme, Inside Neverland, which featured an interview with Larry King and Jermaine Jackson. Neither the presenter or the cameraman noticed the supposed apparition.

Is this ghostly apparition walking across the screen in the background at Neverland mansion the spirit of the King of Pop?

Believe it or not!

A Celebration Of Life - Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson's public memorial live telecast on 07/07/09, watched by millions and millions of people around the world. Remembering and celebrating the Life and Legacy of our greatest entertainer in the world. The live telecast was delayed and only started @ 1.30am (Malaysian time)

Singer Smokey Robinson began the service by reading statements from Jackson's close friends Diana Ross and Nelson Mandela. And later Smokey sang a tribute song to MJ towards the middle of the service.

The memorial service opens with a church choir serenading MJ's golden casket and continuing with somber speeches and gospel-themed musical performances.

Pastor Lucious W. Smith of the Friendship Baptist Church in Pasadena gave the invocation of the memorial service. He also officiates the closing prayer of the memorial service which he was given the permission by the Jackson's family.

Among those who saluted Michael Jackson were music mogul Barry Gordy,

Rev. Al Sharpton

Bernice King & Martin Luther King III

Queen Latifah

Brooke Shields

and basketball superstars Magic Johnson (Right) and Kobe Bryant (Left).

And then followed by another performance by Jennifer Hudson singing Jackson's hit "Will You Be There"

and later a performance by John Mayer playing guitar on a whisper-light rendition of "Human Nature."

Followed by Stevie Wonder's superb performance singing "They Won't Go When I Go".

Lionel Richie gave a full gospel-infused performance singing "Jesus is Love" in front of a shaft of light evoking a cross.

Singer Usher sang very emotionally looking at MJ's casket during his performance with the song tittled "Gone Too Soon".

And followed by a special appearance by Singer Shaheen Jafargholi, finalist of BGT '09 performing @ MJ Public Memorial Service.

The service was ended with two great hit songs; We are the World and Heal the World (Which are also two of my favorites) were performed by background singers and dancers from Michael's comeback tour. Followed by a closing prayer by Pastor Lucious W. Smith. And finally, the live telecast was ended @ 3.50am (Malaysian time)

An estimated of 20,000 people had turned up @ the Staples Center to bid MJ's goodbye for the very last time.

Members of the Jackson family sat in the front row of the Staples Center (From L-R: Rebbie Jackson, LaToya Jackson, Janet Jackson, Randy Jackson, Tito Jackson, Marlon Jackson, Jackie Jackson and Jermaine Jackson )

N97 - Do you want one?

My friend, JT have finally bought the Nokia N97 today after comparing and querying for few hours. I was then checking out and exploring his new baby. And to my first impression towards this new Nokia N97, the smartphone actually looks sleek and stylish. It designed for the needs of Internet-savvy consumers and a very powerful smartphone indeed.

N97 Review:

Well, this new
Nokia N97 smartphone is certainly one of the best Nokia NSeries's mobile devices so far compared to the other NSeries. This smartphone features:
  • A 5 mega-pixel snapper. (Good picture quality, very detailed)
  • 3.5 inch VGA-quality display with video recording. (Perfectly sized for viewing videos & webpages)
  • A whopping 32GB worth of internal memory. (Really big memory space to store your favorite videos and songs)
  • On-board GPS with Nokia Maps (Supported by Garmin Mobile XT)
  • Built-in Wi-Fi (Surf the net whenever or wherever you go)
  • 3.5mm headphone slot / jack (Enable you to plug in your own earphones)
But more interestingly, it rocks up with a tilting touch-screen and a sliding QWERTY keyboard.

Nokia N97 is quite chunky to accommodate the QWERTY keyboard, but its 150g gives it a solid feel. The handset is quite user friendly as the touch screen is quite responsive to touch and the QWERTY keyboard is spacious making it easier and faster to type.

The widescreen display can be fully personalized with frequently updated widgets of favorite web services and social networking sites. The Nokia N97 is also perfectly suited for browsing the web, streaming Flash videos or playing games. Both the physical QWERTY and virtual touch input ensure efficiency in blogging, chatting, posting, sending texts or emailing.

The 32GB of internal memory is already massive but if you need additional internal space, the expandable memory card slots can hold data cards of up to 16GB in size, to store more music, photos, and videos. That’s a total storage limit of 48GB, which blows any other device clean out of the water.

The
Nokia N97 features a handy five-way navigation pad, which is ideal when scrolling through webpages or emails. Performance wise is near to perfecto aside from the sluggish zoom and the average battery life. The 3.5 inch VGA display eats up a lot of energy.

Price is @ RM 2xxx.

The Nokia N97 is a very strong contender towards the King of touch series - iphone. But overall, I think it is worthwhile to buy one. I'm getting one soon.

Well, how about you? Do you want one? Head down to the nearest Nokia Centre today!

Below, is a video demo on unboxing the new Nokia N97. Check it out!

Michael Owen Joins MU

Wow! What a shock transfer? Michael Owen has signed for Man U yesterday. He has signed a two year contract with the Red Devils. Well, transferring Michael Owen to MU is also a good move due to the recent departure of Cristiano Ronaldo and the imminent exit of Carlos Tevez.

The transfer is likely to spark much controversy amongst United fans, however, a footballing figurehead such as Sir Alex Ferguson is sure to be unfazed as he looks to rebuild his team.

This is what Owen stated before the signing ceremony, an interview by Zack Wilson, Goal.com;

"This is a fantastic opportunity for me and I intend to seize it with both hands.

"I am now looking forward to being a Manchester United player and I am fortunate that I already know so many of the players here. I missed pre-season last year and am pleased that I will be starting at Carrington from day one.

"I want to thank Sir Alex for the faith he has shown in me and I give him my assurance that I will repay him with my goals and performances."

And this is what he says after the signing ceremony in an interview by Graham Lister, Goal.com;

“It feels great," he said. "I never even had it in my wildest dreams really but then I got the call from the manager to come and meet him.

“It was a shock but I’m obviously really happy and things have moved quickly since then.

"I probably had a poor spell up at Newcastle but prior to that, my career was very good and I’m sure a top club like this can reignite my career.

"Hopefully I can score a few goals and help the team to more success. It’s early days but when you think about United, you automatically think about winning trophies, the stadium, the massive fan base.”

Well, Good Luck & All the best to you Michael Owen.

Black Robbers

This email is forwarded to me this morning from my friend. Check it out!

BLACK ROBBERS (A True Story)
This would have to be one of the best emails I've ever read....

For anyone who didn't see the episode of David Letterman's show where this story was told, read this: (And remember it's a true story...)

On a recent weekend in Atlantic City , a woman won a bucketful of quarters at a slot machine.

She took a break from the slots for dinner with her husband in the hotel dining room.

But first she wanted to st ash the quarters in her room.

'I'll be right back and we'll go to eat' she told her husband and carried the coin-laden bucket to the elevator.

As she was about to walk into the elevator she noticed two men already aboard.

Both were black. One of them was very tall and had an intimidating figure.

The woman froze. Her first thought was: 'These two are going to rob me.'

Her next thought was: 'Don't be a bigot, they look like perfectly nice gentlemen.' But racial stereotypes are powerful, and fear immobilized her.

Avoiding eye contact, she turned around stiffly and faced the elevator doors as they closed.

A second passed, and then another second, and then another.

Her fear increased!

The elevator didn't move.

Panic consumed her.

'My God' she thought, I'm trapped and about to be robbed!

Her heart plummeted..

Perspiration poured from every pore.

Then one of the men said, 'Hit the floor.'

Instinct told her to do what they told her.

The bucket of quarters flew upwards as she threw out her arms and collapsed on the elevator floor. A shower of coins rained down on her.

'Take my money and spare me', she prayed.

More seconds passed.

She heard one of the men say politely, 'Ma'am, if you'll just tell us what floor you're going to, we'll push the button.'

The one who said it had a little trouble getting the words out.

He was trying mightily to hold in a belly laugh.

The woman lifted her head and looked up at the two men.

They reached down to help her up.

Confused, she struggled to her feet. 'When I told my friend here to hit the floor,' said the average sized one, I meant that he should hit the elevator button for our floor. I didn't mean for you to hit the floor, ma'am.'

He spoke genially.

He bit his lip.

It was obvious he was having a hard time not laughing.

The woman thought: 'My God, what a spectacle I've made of myself.'

She was too humiliated to speak.

The three of them gathered up the strewn quarters and refilled her bucket.

When the elevator arrived at her floor they then insisted on walking her to her room..

She seemed a little unsteady on her feet, and they were afraid she might not make it down the corridor.

At her door they bid her a good evening.

As she slipped into her room she could hear them roaring with laughter as they walked back to the elevator.

The woman brushed herself off. She pulled herself together and went downstairs for dinner with her husband.

The next morning flowers were delivered to her room; a dozen roses.

Attached to EACH rose was a crisp one hundred-dollar bill.

The card said: 'Thanks for the best laugh we've had in years.'

It was signed: Eddie Murphy & Michael Jordan.

Life is GREAT!

Just came back from a motivation seminar conducted by a very successful USM, Mr. Kelvin Tan. I thought that this seminar would be a normal day to day seminar just like any other seminar. But never thought that it would be so interesting and motivating.

I am really lucky that I've registered early. It was packed and full house today, attended by nearly 90 people. The seminar was supposed to starts @ 9.30am but we were then served with light refreshment and enjoyed the munching session till 9.45am.

The seminar started only @ 9.55am. We were then welcomed and greeted by the speaker. During the seminar, a lot of interesting videos are shown to us and some are very motivating as well. Besides the videos, the slides presentation presented by the speaker is very useful indeed. Overall, it was good. The seminar ended @ 12.00pm sharp. Everyone including me went back with high spirit and enthusiasm. I was lucky that I attended this seminar today, if not i would miss out a lot.

For those who have not attended the seminar today, fear not as there is still a "Year End Sprint".
Register early if you do not want to miss out this great seminars.
