Just came back from watching Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs with my mates. The 3rd installment this time was hilarious and they are back with the dinosaurs' company. Not just that, the mammals herd enter into the Dino-land for an adventure that is far better than what we saw in the first two installments, courtesy to a new character called Buck, who perks up the whole story.
The scenes are even more lovable this time around, one liners have that punchy humour to them and characters are much more identifiable. Even for those who may have missed the earlier installments of "Ice Age", it's a no pain situation. This is because the writers draw up their character sketches well and present them all over again without making audiences restless.
The sequel starts with Scrat, who is still on the hunt for his beloved acorn, not until he met a female sabre-toothed squirrel named Scratte. And loves and romance begins for both of them. On the other hand, we have the members of the 'mammals' gang, the mammoth couple Manny & Ellie, getting ready for the delivery of their first baby, named "Peaches" by their mammoth parents. By the way, the baby mammoth was really cute.
They have their friendly tiger Diesel for company who gets into a little depression that he is 'losing his edge' and may lose his friends once they move on to parenthood. It's a different matter though that he gets into form once he heads out with his friends to search for Sid, who has been transported to Dino-land, courtesy to his sudden love for parenthood that has made him steal and then look after the three baby dinosaurs that were belong to a mommy Dino T-Rex.
The fun only continues with the arrival of Buck who is their guide, guru and philosopher, all rolled into one during their journey to save Sid. Buck has a sole 'Dino tooth' as a weapon that he earned as a Saviour, courtesy to his near death experience in a fierce battle with a very big dinosaur named Rudy.
Well, the movie was fun filled with action, romance and also comedy. Laughing non-stop throughout the movie and one of the best part was Manny, Diesel, Crash & Eddie breathe into the laughing gas and makes them all laughing and joking uncontrollably.
A really must see animation and Don't miss it!
